Description
Roger Belland sources the fruit for their Bourgogne Blanc from vineyards located in the Côte de Beaune, primarily from parcels in Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault. These sites benefit from classic Burgundy limestone-rich soils, which contribute to the wine’s freshness, minerality, and balanced acidity. This showed a lovely aromatic, powerful nose of white fruit, florals, vanillan oak and citrus. The palate is rich and powerful with great concentration and structure.
To me, it looked most like a Meursault and will suit those who like a full-bodied style of Chardonnay.
